THE PIECE OF MIND


                THE UNDERSTANDING THAT BRINGS PIECE
This morning I was enjoying breakfast with a dear friend . Our time was interrupted by a phone call and a message that my wife’s mother had suffered a stroke and was in the hospital. I hurriedly made my way to the hospital to be at her side with other family members. She is doing well and even at this writing, the doctors are doing an MRI assessment on her condition, I had the privilege to look into her eyes and agree with her in faith for healing and recovery.  We believed for the peace that passes understanding to come over her.

This event troubled my heart. But, it also stirred me to greater faith . We carry on through life’s challenges with little thought for the presence of peace. “And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding,Often, I have settled for the peace that matches my level of understanding, or that comes close to answering my “Why”. I tend to look for the cause, for the reason for the pain; rationalizing for the solution; hoping for the end of this suffering.

I value the fact that understanding comes from knowledge, Yet frequently our understanding falls short. Many times the cause has nothing to do with you or what you have done or could do. There are times when there is no earthly reason for the pain. It just is.

If you find yourself dealing with your life’s challenges, and peace seems to be missing; don’t settle. Don’t accept or seek peace through logical, explainable reasoning. That’s not peace at all. Rather, be non-anxious, be thankful and stay connected!

This is the understanding that brings peace!

THE BEST PLACE TO GET OUTSIDE AND ENJOY NATURE


NATURE AND ITS BEAUTY 

SOMETIMES I WONDER AT THE BEAUTY OF NATURE AND ALL IT HAS TO OFFER,THE EARTH,THE STARS,THE MOON,THE AIR AND A LOT OF OTHER NATURAL THINGS WHICH TELLS US HOW BEAUTIFUL NATURE IS AND I THOUGHT TO MY SELF,WHAT DO I THINK WOULD BE A WONDERFUL PLACE FOR ME TO ASSIMILATE NATURE OUTSIDE OF MY HOME,THEN I THOUGHT OF THE ZOO,CAMPING,HIKING,SETTING FIRE OUT IN THE COOL BREEZE AND ENJOY WHAT IT HAS TO OFFER.
                                                             


 I REALIZED THAT GOING FROM THE SOUND OF CARS,SOUND OF TRAIN AND THE HUSTLING AND BUSTLING OF THE CITY IS NOT A BAD IDEA,ANY NATURAL SETTING WILL DO,WHETHER IT IS A FOREST OR GRASSLAND,LAKE OR MOUNTAIN,WHERE I CAN ENJOY AND I WANTED IT TO BE FAR FROM CIVILIZATION.DO SOMETHING PEACEFUL SUCH AS FISHING OR MEDITATING IN THE WOODS AND LOOKING AT THE MOON AT NIGHT, AND I FELL IT WILL BE REALLY AMAZING AND RELAXING,JUST TO SIT BACK AND ENJOY THE SOUNDS OF THE WOODS AND BIRDS AND THE SOUND OF THE RIVER FLOWING,WATCHING THE FOUNTAIN OF WATER AND I THOUGHT TO MYSELF THIS SURELY WILL BE VERY EXCITING.


SOMETIMES IT IS GOOD TO GO NATURAL,LISTENING TO SOUNDS OF BIRDS,GO TO THE ZOO AND FEEL NATURE .

THE TRAUMA OF WIDOWHOOD

MISSING A LOVED TREASURE




WIDOWHOOD IS SOMETHING THAT BEFALLS PEOPLE UNEXPECTEDLY WITHOUT PRIOR ARRANGEMENT OR KNOWLEDGE AND IT GOES ALONG WITH A LOT OF OTHER EFFECTS,BUT THIS EFFECTS CAN BE OVERCOME, IF WHOEVER IS INVOLVED GETS HIM OR HERSELF COMPOSED WHATEVER THE SITUATION, I WAS BY THE FIRE BROODING OVER MY EXPERIENCES AND THINKING OF HOW MUCH I LOVED AND MISSED MY BELOVED,ESPECIALLY WHEN I REMEMBER HOW HE USED TO CUDDLE ME,PET ME WHEN I AM UPSET,TALK GENTLY TO ME AND HOW WE USED TO SIT BY THE TV OR BY THE FIRE DISCUSSING,"WHAT A MEMORY!" AND PLANNING ABOUT TOMORROW AND THE FUTURE,IT WAS REALLY NICE AND LOVELY, ALTHOUGH I HAVE FAMILY TO GO TO AND RELY ON ,BUT ITS NOT LIKE WHEN HE WAS HERE, I MISSED HIM,BUT I HAVE REALISED THAT LIFE CONTINUES NO MATTER WHAT,SO I HAVE DECIDED TO FACE MY BUSINESS,FACE MY LIFE,TAKE GOOD CARE OF HOME WHICH I HAVE NOT DONE FOR A LITTLE WHILE DUE TO DEPRESSION, FRUSTRATION,PAIN,SLEEPLESS NIGHTS AND THINKING.

I DO REALIZE THAT FOR A WIDOW NOT TO MISS THE LOVED ONE,ITS GOOD TO SHOW THEM LOVE AND AFFECTION,INVITE THEM ONES IN A WHILE FOR OUTINGS WHICH WILL MAKE THEM TO BE IN A GATHERING OF FRIENDS AND FAMILY ,WITH A LOT OF DISCUSSION AND LAUGHTER,THIS WILL GIVE THEM A REASSURANCE OF BETTER LIFE AHEAD. ITS GOOD TO ADVISE AGAINST THINKING ALL THE TIME WHICH MIGHT LEAD TO HEALTH ISSUES AND DEPRESSION AND A LOT OF UNNECESSARY SITUATIONS AND CIRCUMSTANCES. ENCOURAGEMENT AND SUPPORT IS VERY NECESSARY TOO.
