A YEAR TO REMEMBER

WHAT A MEMORABLE YEAR

WE HAD A GREAT TIME SPENDING THE NEW YEAR WITH OUR FAMILY AT OUR HOME,AFTER ATTENDING A GIRL SCOUT ROLLER SKATING EVENT.WHEW! I HAVEN'T BEEN IN ROLLER SKATES FOR YEARS WHAT A HORROR STORY AND EVENT!,MY SIS COMPETED IN LEBANON AND CINCINNATI,OHIO FOR GYMNASTICS THIS MONTH.WE ALWAYS HAVE FUN AT HER MEETS ,BUT ESPECIALLY ENJOYED THE ONE IN CINCY BECAUSE IT WAS FAR ENOUGH AWAY TO SPEND THE NIGHT AT A HOTEL,PRIOR TO THE COMPETITION,WITH ANOTHER GYMNAST AND HER MOTHER.WHAT FUN! AFTER PRACTICE WE DROVE DOWN,HAD DINNER AT OLIVE GARDEN,AND THEN THE GIRLS HAD A BLAST IN THE DESERTED INDOOR POOL AT THE HOTEL. I, PERSONALLY,APPRECIATED THE COMPLIMENTARY HOT BREAKFAST THAT WAS PROVIDED THE NEXT MORNING: )

THE MONTH OF MARCH WAS LARGELY DEVOTED TO THE GIRL SCOUT COOKIE SALE!I WAS "COOKIE MOM" AND HAD COOKIES EVERYWHERE ! THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO SUPPORTED LUCY!SHE AND ANOTHER SCOUT TIED FOR TOP SELLER AND RECEIVED LOTS OF COOL PRIZES.LUCY AND HER COUSIN,SANDRA,RECEIVED THEIR FIRST HOLY COMMUNION TOGETHER AMONGST FAMILY AND FRIENDS. .....OF COURSE ,DADDY HAD A HARD TIME LOOKING AT HIS BEAUTIFUL LITTLE GIRL KNOWING THAT SOMEDAY HE WILL MOST LIKELY (MOST LIKELY )HAVE TO GIVE HER AWAY.

WE TOOK THE KIDS OUT OF SCHOOL THREE DAYS EARLY TO FLY TO ORLANDO WHERE WE STAYED AT BEAUTIFUL RESORT AND VISITED WALT DISNEY WORLD FOR THE FIRST TIME AS A FAMILY.WHILE THERE ,WE ALSO HAD FUN AT UNIVERSAL STUDIOS :ISLANDS OF ADVENTURE TO SEE HARRY PORTERS WORLD,SEA WORLDS NEWEST WATER PARK,AND MANY OTHER FANTASTIC DESTINATIONS AND ACTIVITIES.THE WONDERFUL MEMORIES WERE DEFINITELY WORTH THE MONEY.

THE KIDS LOVE "WRISTBAND TUESDAY," WHERE THEY CAN RIDE ANY OF THE AMUSEMENT PARK RIDES.MANY HANG OVER THE OCEAN.(SO COOL!)WE ALSO TOOK A SIDE TRIP TO NEW YORK TO VISIT THE STATUE OF LIBERTY WITH GRANDPA.WORDS CANNOT TRULY EXPLAIN HOW AMAZING IT WAS !THEN,TO CAP IT OFF WE DROVE TO NEW JERSEY TO DRIVE BY FAMOUS"CAKE BOSS"BAKERY/SHOW THAT I LOVE TO WATCH ON TELEVISION(THE LINE WAS 31/2 HOURS TOO LONG TO WAIT FOR ONE OF THEIR FAMOUS PASTRIES!);(OUR NEXT STOP WAS TO PHILADELPHIA TO VISIT THE FRANKLIN INSTITUTE SCIENCE MUSEUM,A HAND ON MUSEUM FOR KIDS.....AND ADULTS,I MIGHT ADD. I ENJOYED THE TWO-STORY MODEL OF THE HEART(I WISH I HAD THIS KIND OF CENTRE AVAILABLE TO ME WHEN TEACHING 4TH TO 5TH GRADE SCIENCE!).....AFTERWORDS

WE WERE TAKEN TO THE FAMOUS GENO'S,WHICH IS A RESTAURANT SPECIALIZING IN CHEESE STEAKS.

WE ENJOYED THANKSGIVING WITH BOTH OF OUR FAMILIES,OF COURSE,I WAS ONE OF THE MILLIONS OUT THAT EVENING TRYING TO "GET A DEAL"I WAS OUT FROM 9:00 PM-4:30 AM YEAH,I KNOW.....CRAZY,BUT WHAT A FUN ADRENALINE HIGH WITH  MY GOOD FRIEND.

WOW! JOHN IS FOURTEEN AND ITS ALREADY THE END OF,YET,ANOTHER YEAR!MY GOAL,AS OF NOW,IS TO CONCENTRATE ON THE TRUE MEANING OF CHRISTMAS AND FOCUS ON RANDOM ACTS OF KINDNESS DURING THIS BUSY TIME OF YEAR.WE SINCERELY HOPE THAT THIS YEAR WAS ALSO A HAPPY YEAR FOR YOU AND PRAY THAT THE NEW YEAR IS HAPPIER!.

HOW TO CURE COLD

THIS IS A LONG TIME ISSUE THAT NEEDS REDRESSING AND WHICH HAS REALLY GIVEN SOME PEOPLE SLEEPLESS NIGHTS ESPECIALLY WHEN IT IS GETTING TO THE END OF THE YEAR SOME PEOPLE GET NERVOUS OF THE COLD,I HAVE SEEN AND MET SOME PEOPLE WHO FEEL COLD IS A PROBLEM FOR THEM,SAYING THAT THEY DONT LIKE IT DESPITE THE FATC THAT THEY HAVE BEEN WITH IT ALL THEIR LIVES ,THEY STILL COMPLAIN, WHILE SOME ENJOY THE FACT THAT COLD IS ON THE WAY AND LOOKING BACK THE MEMORY LANE AND THE FUN THAT COMES WITH IT, ESPECIALLY THE ACTIVITIES THAT COMES WITH IT.FROM OPINION THE QUESTION ARISES : DO EVERYBODY ENJOY COLD?, OR ARE THEY JUST PRETENDING ABOUT COLD BECAUSE THEY HAVE NO CHOICE WHENEVER ITS HERE.

I WAS DISCUSSING WITH A FRIEND THE OTHER DAY AND I ASKED HIM, WHAT EXACTLY IS HIS OPINION ABOUT COLD, WHAT DOES HE THINK COULD BE A SOLUTION OR CURE TO COLD AND HE SAID HE HAS NOTHING TO SAY, AFTER A LOT OF DISCUSSION WITH DIFFERENT FRIENDS AND PEOPLE I KNOW , I CAME TO THE CONCLUSION THAT THERE ARE MEASURES TO TAKE CONCERNING  COLD:

• A STRONG BLANKET TO WRAP ROUND MY BODY
• I NEED TO TURN UP THE FURNACE IN THE HOUSE
• I NEED TO PUT ON A SNUGGY
• I NEED A VERY SERIOUS EXERCISE
• I NEED LOTS OF CLOTHING AND I MUST TRY MY BEST TO STAY INDOOR IF NEED BE

AFTER A LOT OF THOUGHT, REMEMBERING THE DAY THAT IT WAS SO COLD,THAT I WAS SHAKING LIKE CHRITMAS GOAT AND MY TEETH WAS CLAPPING,I CAME TO THE CONCLUSION THAT TO CURE THE COLD I HAVE TO TAKE THE ABOVE MEASURES.

DIFFERENCE BETWEEN BASEBALL AND SOFTBALL

Although this two sports are different from each other, they have lots of similarities which is very appealing,I was always used to the football(soccer)but the first time i watched softball and baseball live, I fell in love with both sports thereby making me to be curious about what Differences and Similarities there is in both sports.If you think about ball games, baseball and softball are amongst the most popular ball games that you may have in mind.
A comparison between softball and baseball can simply be made as softball is directly descended from baseball and therefore, it contains some important similarities.Despite the game's name, the standard softball is not soft; in fact, it is harder than a baseball. Baseball is the game played by two teams using a ball and bat. Each team consists of 9 players. To score, the thrown ball must be hit using a bat. Your teammate needs to touch sequence of 4 bases positioned at the sides of a diamond or 90 foot square. Softball on the other hand, is also a team sport, which is considered as a direct descendant of baseball. However, softballs are much larger than baseballs and pitches are thrown underhand instead of overhand. It is played in a smaller diamond than is true for baseball. 
 

Playing Field differs in size in some area. Below are some of its differences on the following positions:

Infield - in Softball is the area of a field in equal territory that includes a section that is usually covered by infielder. In baseball, infield is located in the dirt surface area. The infield is the square known as the diamond that has 4 white bases and located on each corner.

Outfield - in Softball it is the area of a field away from the infield or diamond. The fielder and beyond the batsman occupy this space. The outfield in baseball is usually covered with grass. Each base is 5-sided rubber slab known as home plate. In the normal baseball field each base are 90 feet (27.4 meters) apart.

Foul Lines - in softball the 1st and 3rd base line, which distinguishes equal territory from four territories is called foul lines. In baseball, the foul pole is intended to assist umpire judge in deciding whether the fly ball which hit the fence border above is fair or foul. The foul lines are vertical extension poles.

Fair Territory - in softball, it is the area within the playing fields and include the 1st and 3rd base foul lines starting in home plate beyond playing field fences which are perpendicularly upward. In baseball, the fair territory includes the ground between the two long white lines. It is either confusing or amusing that the lines are officially called the foul lines and poles are called foul poles.

Batter Box - in softball, it is the box marked with chalk close to home plate, which the batter should remain within while battling. In baseball, it is drawn in white chalk, it is the area surrounding the home plate where the batter stands. It should be 6 foot rectangles and must be six inches away from the home plate.

Bases - in softball, home plates are bases in every corner within the diamond . Each base are canvas of fifteen inches square, of or the same material, and should not be more than five inches in thick. Each base is tagged counter clockwise as 1st, 2nd and 3rd base.


Foul Poles - in softball and baseball, it is positioned at the end of every foul line to differentiate foul territory from fair territory.

Pitcher's Mound - located at the center of the diamond it is the area from where the pitcher throws the ball.

Softball and Baseball are popular ball games that are being enjoyed by ball enthusiasts worldwide. Even children enjoy playing the game because of the satisfaction that they get from it. There are some differences in the playing field, but the idea of sportsmanship and teamwork is the main attraction in playing these games. There is no competition between the two ball games. These two games are somehow related to each other.

HOLIDAYS ARE VERY IMPORTANT OCCASIONS WHICH IS VERY IMPORTANT TO ALL, BUT THE BEAUTY OF IT ALL IS THE EXCITEMENT, EAGERNESS AND ANXIETY THAT COMES WITH IT, FROM BOTH YOUNG, OLD AND EVEN THE KICKING BABY IN THE WOMB.


THERE ARE DIFFERENT KINDS OF HOLIDAYS BUT THE MOST IMPORTANT OF THEM ALL ARE: EASTER,THANKSGIVING AND CHRISTMAS HOLIDAYS AND WHEN YOU THINK ABOUT WHAT IT ENTAILS, YOU REALLY GET EXCITED,ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU HAVE TO SEE FIREWORKS AND GO OUT TO WATCH MOVIES OR GO TO THE BEACH AND A LOT OF OTHER EXCITING PROGRAMS FOR THE HOLIDAY AND THE MOST  EXCITING OF IT ALL, IS THE CAROLS AND MAKING FIREWORKS EVERYWHERE.


THANKSGIVING IS ANOTHER IMPORTANT HOLIDAY WHEN EVERYBODY IS IN THE MOOD OF BUYING , ESPECIALLY THE EXCITEMENT OF BLACK FRIDAY WHEN YOU HAVE TO GO TO DIFFERENT STORES TO BUY THINGS THAT YOU WANT AT A VERY GOOD AND REASONABLE RATE,THERE ARE LOTS OF SITUATIONS WHERE PEOPLE GO TO THIS STORES TO QUEUE FOR HOURS FOR THE PURPOSE OF BUYING THINGS,AND  ALSO EVERYWHERE IS BUSY AND THE EATING AND THE DRINKING THAT IT ALL ENTAILS BRINGS ABOUT THE EXCITEMENT .

THE RAIN WAS DRIZZLING AND I WAS TAKEN OUT FOR MY REGULAR ROUTINE ON THE GRASS TO WEEEE WEEEEE AS USUAL AND SOMETIMES I DO THE OTHER ONE ,ON THE WAY BACK INTO THE HOUSE, SUDDENLY YOU SLIPPED ON THE GRASS AS THERE WAS LITTLE RAIN,I FELT SO BAD THAT I THOUGHT ,HOW I WISH I COULD PREVENT THAT FROM HAPPENING, FOR I AM READY TO PROTECT YOU NO MATTER WHAT,AND THERE ON THE GRASS I STARTED BARKING YELP! YELP! YELP!AND THIS TOOK ME BACK THE MEMORY LANE, WHEN I WAS A PUPPY AND WE WERE FOUR FROM MY MOTHER AND THERE YOU CAME AND SAID TO MY PREVIOUS OWNER I LOVE THIS PUPPY CAN I TAKE HER AND IMMEDIATELY YOU TOOK ME UP AND TOOK CARE OF ME.

I REMEMBER THE TIMES WHEN YOU RUN YOUR ARMS THROUGH MY SOFT THICK BLACK FUR,STROKING ME AS ALWAYS AND SOMETIMES I AM ON YOUR BELLY AND SOMETIMES I RUN AROUND AND JUMP ALL OVER YOU OUT OF EXCITEMENT AND I START LICKING AWAY AT YOUR BODY.I STILL REMEMBER IT CLEARLY THE WAY YOU FOUND ME,A LOST LONELY PUPPY,THE WAY YOU SHOWED ME LOVE,THE WAY YOU WERE HAPPY SAYING WHAT A SWEET AND LOVELY LITTLE DOG.

ANYTIME YOU GO OUT THE DOOR ,ALL I THINK ABOUT IS WHEN WILL YOU COME BACK?,BECAUSE I MISS YOU ALL THE TIME AND WHEN I HEAR A SOUND ON THE DOOR I BARK THINKING IT WAS YOU WITH ALL EXCITEMENT AND WHEN YOU WALK THROUGH THE DOOR I JUMP ALL OVER YOU BARKING, YELP! YELP! YELP! AS IF WE HAVE NEVER SEEN EACH OTHER FOR A VERY LONG TIME AT THE SAME TIME, I AM WIGGLING MY TAIL TO AND FRO DUE TO HOW I FEEL AND YOU NOW PICKED ME UP,JUMPY AS I STILL WAS IN YOUR HANDS.

ITS EXCITING WHEN I REMEMBER HOW YOU HOLD ME IN YOUR HANDS AND SING AND TRY TO MAKE ME DANCE WITH DANCING STEPS AND YOU CALL THE DANCE PALONGO DANCE.

ALL THIS MEMORIES MAKES ME TO REALISE OUT OF SINCERITY OF HEART, THAT ITS A VERY GOOD THING TO SHOW LOVE TO A PET, FOR APPRECIATION WILL ALWAYS COME AND FOR THE LOVE I HAVE DEVELOPED FOR YOU ,I AM READY TO PROTECT AND ADORE YOU ALWAYS AND I AM READY TO RECIPROCATE THE LOVE YOU HAVE SHOWED ME NO MATTER WHAT AND I ALSO REALISE THAT LOVE IS A WILL TO BETTER LIFE AND HAPPINESS.

NAGGING AND WHAT IT DOES TO A RELATIONSHIP

RESULT OF NAGGING IN A RELATIONSHIP

Hmmmm!,it is very devastating when you get into a sweet and loving relationship and after getting together the problem you encounter most times is when your partner nags.

How does it really feel when you are in this kind of situation?,i realise that this can cause a lot of confusion especially when there is love ,but in truth continuous nagging can cause a lot of problem especially in marriage or a very loving and sweet relationship and this can lead to broken home or broken relationship because one partner likes complains at all times over every small or little thing forgetting that love and relationship is enduring and persevering.

Continuous complains can immensely result in broken home and it is very painful especially wen both parties realise they love each other, but looking at this situation, what could really be the cause of this problem?

Could it be that one partner that nags at all time is self centred or just like to complain at all times and how can we be over this nagging situation.

The best one can do in situation like this is to overlook and avoid nagging and what makes it sweet is for the other partner to try and cultivate the habit of  forgive and forget and let life continue,i know some people will say what is he talking about?,but in truth it is best to overlook some situations and let things go and turn a closed ear to most cases.

PUPPY MILLS: TO BE OR NOT TO BE?

 WHAT CAN WE DO ABOUT PUPPY MILLS

sometimes we wonder at our society and our civilization and we now look at our puppies/
cats beeing brought up at puppy mills instead of regular homes in mass production for
 the purpose of making money from them.This could be a cruel act because of what
happens to most of the unfortunate puppies .


there are thousands of inhumane societies adopting this pets(dogs/cats)for
the purpose of cash,it is always a sweet thing when this pets are in a pet store beautiful as
they may be and eventually in a beautiful home and properly taken care of ,but what
 happenes to the unfortunate ones?that ends beeing homeless and find it difficult to feed
and leave a comfortable life, like every living thing.and most of this animals end up not
having homes. 

They continue to exist because of the impression on customers over the
 beauty of the puppies and other pets.this mills house dogs /cats in shocking poor conditions after their fatility period is expired,they are either killed ,abandoned or sold to other mills. who
The mills wants to make sure they  get one more litter out of them. times without number,
 many of this pets end up having behaviour/health problems.

I remember a particular family that buys enough dog and cat food to give to many of the
cats and dogs that  were either pushed out or abandoned,but the question is how many
 people will be willing to do this charity for the pets and there are so many breeds of this
pets.

It is very unfortunate to see your pet dog leaving his or her entire life in a small wire cage
 with no humane companionship and with little or no hope of having a family.it is a cruel
 life for puppies/cats in a puppy mill and this act increases the population of this breeds.Therefore the question arises: do we encourage the reproduction of this pets or not becauses of how they are beeing treated eventually without homes? or do we encourage
 this pet over population and the suffering of countless dogs/cats?
